The Kyosho OT-88 parts bag contains the protector set. It was an optional extra for the Lazer ZX and provided a pseudo slipper clutch setup that replaced the center differential balls.
The bag contains:
- 2 x asbestos ‘gear protector washer’ (the only parts used for the Lazer ZX)
- 1 x gear protector plate ‘A’ (outside plate used on Optima Mid)
- 1 x gear protector plate ‘B’ (inside plate used on Optima Mid)
- 1 x collar (same as LA-5 limiter collars)
- 5 x wave washers
Note the use of asbestos washers, which release hazardous asbestos fibres when used as friction material, like here!
