The Kyosho OT-28 parts bag contains the gear set for the differential. It contains:
- 4 x diff output shafts with side gear
- 4 x differential pinions or spider gears
- 2 x pinion shafts for the pinion or spider gears
There have been two versions of the OT-28 gear set. The first version had the side gears press-fit onto the splined output shafts. Unfortunately the pressure made them susceptible to breaking. Later versions had the side gears held in place with screws. The newest version again has the side gears press-fit on a squarer axle.
