The Kyosho LA-8 parts bag contains the ‘main gear shaft’ or layshaft for the Lazer ZX. It also features the nylon 4×8 ‘collar’ that sits in the LA-6 rear drive hub. The layshaft features 1 slot where an E3 e-clip goes, and a flattened part on the spur end where the outside guide plat locks onto. The threads are M3 size.
