The Kyosho LA-21 part bag contains the large king pins as used to attach the LA-27 front hub carriers (C-hubs) and the OT-16 knuckle arms (steering knuckles). The king pin acts as a pivot, sitting at the bottom side of the car. Their counterpart at the top are the OT-4 small king pins.
The king pins are known to work loose, so depending on the material of the OT-16 knuckles it is recommended to add some PVA or CA glue (plastic) or locktite / red Tamiya thread lock (metal) to the thread of the knuckle. Please ensure the shaft of the king pin as well as any part of the hub carrier remains absolutely free of any glue or thread lock.
Alternatives
- Kyosho part 1214-10 is used on the Lazer Alpha and is a cross-head alternative
- Kyosho FA-21 is said to contain the same size Kind Pins, but I haven’t personally confirmed
