The LA-2 spur gear is 0.6 module and 88 teeth, with 8mm center hole. It featured on the original Kyosho Lazer ZX and the Lazer ZX-Sport.

Later versions of the LA-2 spur gear received the 8 lugs that will take the TM-12 slipper pads. The LA-2 spur gear was replaced by the TM-7 (100 teeth, 48 pitch) spur gear through the LAW-8 slipper pack upgrade for the ZX.
